Time to Move on to Essay Topics
Time to Move on to Essay TopicsThe timing for essay topics is critical. Essay topics should be selected with great care, especially if you are moving on to the next level of your IELTS. If your level is still in the high school level, then your selection should be relatively simple, as your essays have only been based on standard English vocabulary and sentence structure. The reason for this is that you cannot expect the IELTS scores that are based on the English language at all. This type of essay does not give you an insight into the need for innovation in the written English skills. Instead, the essay focuses on how well you read and write English. That is what the IELTS measures, not how creative you are in writing or how much of a risk-taker you are when reading and writing. For those who want to move on to the next level, they are usually looking for essay topics that will be more advanced and therefore require more skills and knowledge. For example, they want to focus on terms a nd phrases that they may not know very well and yet would be able to use in their future jobs. That is why they will use examples from books that they have read and are familiar with.If you have not passed the level you started with, it would be best to start with the advanced level. It does not make sense to start with the lower level essay topics and end up on the advanced level. Why? Because if you want to be able to get into the top courses, then you will need to start in the top level. For high school levels, the standard practice is to use a standard vocabulary list, but have a mix of very interesting and funny examples that you have made up. That way, the student can get a sneak peak of what IELTS level they are at and use it as a yardstick to measure how far they have come from the time they started.Students who are not very good at English will also use examples from books to gauge how advanced they have progressed, and it is important to keep track of this progress. By usin g this strategy, they can get a good idea of how far they have come and can decide on a certain level at which they need to start looking for essay topics based on more advanced English concepts. However, this strategy also entails writing more English, which has been the most difficult part for them up to now.No matter what, though, the standard practice is always to use some form of a standard vocabulary list and then move on to more advanced topics based on a couple of examples that the student has created. Even the most advanced students start with the simplest ones and create more complex and fun topics. Again, they are measuring the progress, and they are not judging your work in any way. This is where the creativity comes in.At each level, there is more to learn, and as long as you do not fall behind, you will never become a second-rate student. Remember that all students go through similar stages, and it is only because they are learning the same stuff that they are progress ing in different ways. If you have mastered the basic concepts of the course, then you can proceed to topics on math, science, philosophy, art, history, and even computers and technology, which are more advanced and interesting.
